Hi there

My name is Lelane

I am an English speaking South African, grew up on the South Coast and now live on the North Coast of Kwa Zulu Natal.

I have practised many hobbies throughout my lifetime, but none as satisfying and rewarding as drawing/sketching/painting and wood carving.  The latter I gave up years ago unfortunately as it is just too time consuming.

I remember my first pencil sketch I sketched of a man riding an ostrich.  My father took it to work and someone else took it home... that was a real boost for a six year old!

In time I married, was widowed, remarried a widower, together we brought up 5 children, one of whom is deceased.

My paintings has long since become my sole source of employment and income.  Most enjoyable and rewarding!

'Africa people' is what inspires me most.  Their brightly coloured attire and beads and their beautiful interesting faces.
